However, limiting the core “principle” of programming to just this concept can be challenging. Programming actually encompasses a diverse collection of concepts, methodologies, and approaches (paradigms).
In practice, it’s common to combine these different principles depending on the specific problem you aim to solve and your objectives.
Beyond the functional pipeline concept, here are some other crucial concepts and paradigms often employed:

Imperative Programming: This involves describing how a computer should execute a task using a sequence of instructions or commands. A key characteristic is that the program’s state (e.g., the values in variables) changes with each step.

Control Flow: Closely tied to Imperative Programming, Control Flow provides the mechanisms to manage the execution order of those step-by-step instructions. This includes structures like conditional statements (

) for making decisions and loops (for

) for repeating actions, dictating the sequence in which the program’s state changes. Control Flow structures like conditionals and loops are thus inseparable from Imperative Programming for executing sequences of commands. -
